There are so many avenues to choose from when one wants to improve their overall health that is helps keep things exciting and motivation high."
Monica was introduced to Yoga in 2001 and was surprised by the challenges she was faced with when new to the practice. "I was shocked when I struggled through my first couple classes! I expected something totally different but I was definitely tested mentally and physically. From my strength and flexibility to my mental focus and even my breathing control...I knew I needed work! I became intrigued". It was then that she decided to broaden her understanding of Yoga by participating in various classes and shadowing the instructors. She received her certification and was excited to add Yoga to her repertoire.
"I love how unique Yoga is. It challenges every part of you and leaves you with a feeling of rejuvenation. When I was offered the opportunity to teach at Oshawa Wing Chun & Martial Arts I was so thrilled. The club provides such a positive and tranquil environment, perfect for Yoga practice no matter what your level. Yoga can be done by everyone, which is so great."
